Pre-Orders and Kingslayers (almost)
Congratulations to our late night raid team (plus Li and 1 pugger). Putricide and Sindragosa down in ICC and our first glance at the evil Lich King. Surprisingly, since we went in with next to no information (gee, thanks Cherry and Corsun!), we got him down to 70% and in to the second phase. No biggie, since it had already been a big night and we were just playing around.
Also, in case you guys don’t know, you can now pre-order Cataclysm directly from Blizzard and pre-download it as well. No waiting in line (except for schmucks like me who want the Collectors Edition!)! Your account will be activated right on midnight so you can start playing.
Say Goodbye …
Blizzard have announced the list of items and mounts that will be disappearing as of Patch 4.03 (The Shattering), including the tiger (left) and raptor mounts from Zul’Gurub (which is being changed from a raid instance to a leveling zone).
If you want a shot at anything from the list, you’d best be quick!
Also released today are the System Requirements for Cataclysm. You can find them after the break.

Patch 4.01 Landing …
Extended maintenance usually means 1 thing – it’s Patch Day!
Reforging will be introduced, Glyphs are changing and there’s a whole slew of class changes, so we’ll have to figure out the new (lesser amount of) talents and a big old lrn2play will be on the cards. Doesn’t that just sound like fun??!
Not to mention the game will probably be unplayable for a week. Read on for the patch notes …
